Play Games Against Each Other For The Ds

The Nintendo DS portable gaming system is equipped with a wide variety of ways to take advantage of multiplayer gaming opportunities. The system comes equipped for wifi, allowing it to connect to any wireless Internet connection to play multiplayer games over the Internet. It also features a wireless connection mode to play with other DS systems in the same room, without any need for an Internet connection. Some games will require all players to own a copy of the game cartridge to play in multiplayer mode, while other games require that only one player own a copy of the game.

Instructions

1. Navigate to www.dssinglecard.com/gamelist-name.html and search for the game you wish to play. This website contains a list of all single-game-card multiplayer games on the DS. If your game appears on this list, you will need only one game cartridge among all the players playing the game. If your game does not appear on this list, you will need one game cartridge for every player to play online.

2. Power up all DS systems, with the necessary cards inserted in each system. If playing a single-card multiplayer game, all other players should play with no game cartridge inserted in their systems.

3. Have one "host" player start the game, and select the "multiplayer" option. Configure any necessary options before hosting the game. All other players should locate the option "DS download play" on their DS system menu, and select it. These DS systems will now search the local wireless area for any multiplayer games. When it discovers the hosted game, the DS system will prompt the player to begin downloading. Once all players have completed their download, you will be able to play against each other.
