Instructions

Flower-Shaped Invitation

1. Draw large flower petals on colorful cardstock or construction paper. Use stencils if necessary.

2. Cut out the flower petals. Use the first petal as a stencil to make the rest of the invitations, if applicable.

3. Attach the petals together at the center to create a flower shape. Glue the petals onto a small circle. Glue a pompom or small decorative item onto the center if you want the invitation to be three dimensional. Alternatively, poke small holes on one edge of the petals and secure them with a decorative brad that can serve as the center of the flower.

4. Write the party information on the back of the flowers or on the petals, such as who the birthday celebrant, when the party is and any special details.

5. Attach a green pipe cleaner to represent the stem by gluing it to the back center of the flower or wrapping it around the brad.

Miniature Flowers on the Invitation

6. Glue green tissue paper to the bottom of the card to resemble a rolling grassy hill or field.

7. Remove the petals from silk flowers or cut colorful craft foam into flower petal shapes.

8. Arrange the flower petals into small flowers above the grass and glue them into place.

9. Draw stems and leaves with a green marker.
