Camber Sands is a beach in the English village of Camber. Camber Sands is a popular place for outdoor activities such as kite surfing and kite buggying. There is also a resort park in Camber Sands that has indoor pools, a sauna and spa. If you want to travel to Camber Sands by train, here's what you need to know.
Instructions
1. Use the Journey Planner on the National Rail Enquiries website (see Resources) to plan your train ride to Camber Sands. The closest train station to Camber Sands is Rye Station in East Sussex. Depending on how far you are traveling, you may have to change trains to get to Rye Station.
2. Purchase your train ticket. The train ticket can be purchased in advance on the National Rail Enquiries website or in person at the train station. Buying train tickets in advance typically is less expensive than purchasing them on the day of travel in the train station. Tickets purchased in advance can be picked up at the ticketing window at the train station.
3. Take your train to Rye Station in East Sussex. When you arrive at the train station, you will be about three miles from Camber Sands. There is an hourly bus service that goes to Camber Sands, but it can be irregular. The more dependable transportation option to get you the rest of the way to Camber Sands is a taxi (see Resources).
