Boston Children's Museum
The Boston Children's Museum is meant to help children understand and explore the world. The museum offers a variety of exhibits that allow children to learn in an innovative hands-on manner. The museum has permanent exhibits and some that change several times each year and have included "Johnny's Workbench," "The Recycle Shop" and "Peep's World." Permanent fixtures include a golf ball wall, bubble-blowing activities, building a house with blocks and creating a balanced dinner. Admission prices for 2010 is $12 for adults, seniors and children ages 1 to 15; children younger than 1 get in free.

Franklin Park Zoo
Franklin Park Zoo is in Boston's historic Franklin Park and consists of 72 acres of attractions. The zoo has hundreds of exhibits that feature a variety of animals living in authentic environments. The tropical forest highlights gorillas, ring-tailed lemurs and free-flight birds. The giraffe Savannah is home to a variety of giraffes and African lions live in the Kalahari Kingdom exhibit. In addition, children can get up close with goats, sheep, ponies and chickens in the petting zoo. The zoo has a concession stand that serves a variety of foods and a gift shop that sells toys and souvenirs. Admission during 2010 is $14 for adults, $11 for seniors and $8 for kids age 2 to 12. Children younger than 2 are admitted free.

New England Aquarium
The New England Aquarium has been an attraction since 1969 and is a leader in ocean exploration and conservation. The exhibition allows kids to explore an underwater environment with a variety of attractions from around the world, such as coral reefs from the Bahamas and penguins from Africa. Other animal exhibits include giant octopus, tiger sharks, green anaconda and harbor seals. Visitors can also enjoy live presentations such as fur seal training, penguin presentations and ocean tank divers. There are food stands in the main building and an aquarium gift shop for souvenirs and gifts. Aquarium admission for 2010 is $21.95 for adults, $19.95 for seniors and $13.95 for kids age 3 to 11. Children younger than 3 get in free.
