Make Baby Shower Booties Out Of Tissues

Friends of an expentant mother often host a baby shower.

One primary part of all baby showers is the favors the hosts make or purchase. There are numerous homemade favors that are ideal for baby showers, including baby shower booties made out of tissues. After making these cute little party favors, you can fill them with nuts and small chocolate candies, making them ideal for any baby shower celebration. These small favors are relatively inexpensive and simple enough for almost anyone to make.

Instructions

1. Choose a color of tissues to use for this craft. For a baby boy, use blue. For a baby girl, use pink. If you do not know what the baby will be, use yellow or a combination of all three colors.

2. Lay one tissue out in front of you. Make sure you unfold it and lay it flat. Turn it so that one of the corners is facing you.

3. Place one nut cup on the center of the tissue. Below the nut cup, place one cotton ball. Make sure that the cotton ball is located towards a corner of the tissue.

4. Fold the corner of the tissue over the cotton ball. Place the corner of the tissue directly in the center of the nut cup. Fold the remaining three edges of the tissue in the same way, placing each corner into the nut cup. Gently push all four corners into the nut cup being cautious not to wrinkle the tissue more than necessary.

5. Place a second nut cup into the first nut cup. This nut cup will hold the corners of the tissue inside the first cup.

6. Fill the cup with candies. Choose whatever type of nuts or candies you prefer and fill the cups up.

7. Decorate the baby booties. If desired, decorate them further by tying thin ribbons around the bootie and forming them into small bows. Choose blue, pink or yellow ribbons for this. You could also decorate them by spraying a small amount of sparkle paint on them. If you do this, spray the paint prior to placing the second nut cup inside.
