Make Greeting Name Tags

Make greeting name tags instead of using the standard, "Hello, my name is ...."

Greeting name tags are usually worn in places where you may not know anyone else in the building, so everyone wears a tag to familiarize themselves with each other. If you want to stand out, you can make your own greeting name tag instead of using a standard all-white tag. Make your own tag with a computer template or card stock.

Instructions

Computer Program

1. Open a Word program on your computer. Click the link "Tools" and select the option "Label." Select the option to create a "Mailing Label."

2. Scroll through the "product number" category until you reach the option to create a "Name tag" or "Name badge."

3. Wait for the document to load. Select the size of your lettering, font and text color from the top menu bar.

4. Click the "Format" option to add a border and shading to your greeting tag.

5. Enter your name in the text field. Save the document and then print out the page.

6. Cut the name tag from the paper and place the tag in a clear badge holder. Pin the greeting tag to your clothing with a safety pin.

Card Stock

7. Purchase pre-cut card stock from an office supply store.

8. Add a border to the paper (if applicable) with markers, glittery or color pencils.

9. Write your name in the middle of the card stock with your choice of maker color. Be as neat as possible.

10. Wait for the marker or glitter to dry before you place the name tag inside the clear badge. Pin the greeting tag to your clothing with a safety pin.
