Information On The Hale Koa Hotel In Hawaii

The beaches of Hawaii offer guests spectacular views.

The Hale Koa resort hotel is a top notch place to stay in Honolulu, Hawaii for military personnel and their families. Located just steps away from gorgeous cerulean seas and bleached white sand beaches, it is a destination itself.

History

Hale Koa, which translates as House of the Warrior, was originally part of a large parcel of land owned and used by the U.S. military from 1905 to 1975 as part of Fort DeRussy. The base played a vital role during WWII, which added to the island's rich history. The hotel itself opened in 1975, and has provided first class service at an affordable price ever since to active service members, veteran service members and their guests.

Entertainment and Dining

In addition to the wonderful location, the hotel also offers activities and entertainment for guests. A traditional Luau, including lei-making and live music occurs toward sunset, with a full dinner and show for entertainment as twilight approaches. Performances by locally acclaimed magicians and comedians are also options as the evening progresses.

Bibas Cafe and Koko Cafe offer dining options at the hotel, either in the finely furnished restaurants or delivered to guest rooms for a nominal fee. The diverse selection of food on the menus highlights local island cuisine. Bibas also features a bar with many exotic drinks available and the Barefoot Bar and Warriors Lounge offer yet more options for thirsty guests to relax and unwind.

Amenities

A hotel cannot claim to be first class without providing a luxurious experience to the guests, and Hale Koa is no exception. Their spacious rooms include central air condition, a color television featuring movies and video check out, telephone with messaging system, Internet service, coffee machine and a refrigerator. Laundering and drying services are also available to guests staying at the hotel.

In addition, the Point health club offers a variety of activities to guests at an affordable annual membership fee, such as the state of the art gym facilities, an adults-only pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and daily outdoor activities. A scenic jogging path, lighted tennis courts, handball courts and volleyball courts offer even more options. Personal trainers, massages and body spa services are also available for additional fees.

Be sure to book in advance however, as reservations frequently need to be made up to six months prior to your stay. Guests should also check the Eligibility menu in advance to ensure a smooth booking.
