Plan A Children'S Birthday Party On A Budget

Plan a Children's Birthday Party on a budget

We want our children's birthday party to be a magical event. This article will explain plan a great children's birthday party on a budget. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Choose an affordable location. Until your child has really narrowed down their friends to a small group of children, you will probably have a pretty big guest list. Because of this you should bypass the "all included" parties at bouncey bounce, bowling, lazer tag, etc. These usually run at least $20.00 per child. Good inexpensive locations include, your it house, a local park/play ground, McDonalds (yes McDonalds, everyone loves it, it is good in all weather and it remains the cheapest game in town.) Use some of the money your saving by not going to a "Bouncey Bounce" locale to add something cool and memorable to your low budget birthday, like a Piñata, scavenger hunt or an awesome party favor (not a cheap sippy straw or a yo-yo that doesn't really work.) Search the internet for good "at home" party themes. Some ideas include, A lego creation party, soccer , costume, or a treasure hunt.

2. Narrow down your guest list. Pre-kindergarten most of your guests will be family and friends, avoid inviting the entire pre-k class, it's not necessary. At this age your child will want to be around people that love and care about them. Once elementary school starts, however, the birthday party becomes a time for your child to socialize with their friends. At this age you can stop inviting extended family and friends, unless they have kids your child is actually friends with. Ask you child who they want to invite, if they do not mention the children of your friends...it's not necessary to invite them. Remember this party is for your child, not for you.

3. Use Evite to invite friends instead of paper invitations, www.evite.com. E-vite invitations cost nothing, and they make keeping track of your guest list a breeze. You can also use your Evite to remind guests of the party, make updates, and send thank-you notes.

4. Plan a time of day that does not include a meal either 1:00 - 3:00 or 9:00 - 11:00. Not every kid eats, and the cost of pizza can add up. Kids would rather play with their friends and chow down on snacks, instead of being hovered over by a parent who is trying to get them to eat. Carrot sticks, grapes, strawberries, and cookies are pleasing to children and your budget. You will still have to do a cake or cupcakes and ice cream.
