Smithing is one of the many skills in the MMORPG "RuneScape." Players can smith various game items such as armor, weapons and jewelry out of different metals. In order to smelt specific metals, you must have the required level in the smithing skill. If you need to smith an ore but do not have the correct level, you can ask a player with the appropriate level to assist you.
Instructions
1. Click on your smithing level icon on the "Stats" tab and check your smithing level. Verify your smithing level in the game; you'll need a smithing level of at least 15 to smith iron ore.
2. Mine or purchase the necessary ore for the bar you are making. Jewelry requires gold or silver; everything else (like armor and weapons) requires metals such as bronze, iron or mithril.
3. Place a hammer and the iron bars in your inventory and go to the nearest anvil, such as the one south of the Varrock bank.
4. Click on one of the iron bars and then on the anvil. An interface will open; click on the item you wish to smith to select it from the interface. The item will appear automatically in your inventory after a few seconds of smithing.
