Print Rsvp Cards Yourself

Print your wedding RSVP cards at home.

If you are planning your wedding on a tight budget, you need as many cost-saving tips as you can get. With printed invitation kits for weddings sold in paper and craft stores, a do-it-yourself bride will save money on invitations and RSVP cards by printing these cards at home. Armed with a home printer and a crisp sheet of card stock, you can create specialized cards that fit your wedding theme, without breaking the bank.

Instructions

1. Obtain software for printing. Select a wedding software bundle that includes fonts and design styles for your wedding invitations and RSVP cards.

2. Verify that your inkjet or laser printer is compatible for the card stock needed to print the cards. Before printing, check the manufacturer's suggested weight and thickness for the card stock.

3. Buy a pre-packaged wedding invitation kit. To ensure that your RSVP cards match the weight and look of your wedding invitations, buy a complete wedding kit. This package includes card stock for the invitations, the RSVP cards and matching envelopes.

4. Prepare the ink in your home printer. Crafting Green World's website recommends that if you are printing the cards yourself, you should "place your machine on a high quality setting before printing. Adjust the ink to a high or heavy setting."

5. Feed the sheet of cards into the printer one at a time. Print one sheet of 12 or 14 cards to prevent a paper jam.

6. To prevent smudging the RSVP cards, let the ink dry overnight, before stuffing into envelopes.
