Kids Monkey Birthday Party Decorations
A monkey-themed birthday party gives kids the chance to "monkey around" and play games for an afternoon. Decorate for a monkey party by creating a jungle environment where monkeys may want to hang out. Does this Spark an idea?
Jungle Trees
Make jungle trees to decorate the main party area. Start with long tubes of cardboard, like those found in the center of wrapping paper rolls, and wrap the trunks with brown crepe paper or strips of brown felt. Cut out green leaves from felt or construction paper and tape a wire to the center of each leaf so it can be bent into any configuration. Stick the ends of the wire in a piece of foam taped to the top of each tree trunk. Glue the tube to a base of foam.
Monkeys
No monkey party is complete without monkeys, so use any stuffed monkeys your child may have and scatter them throughout the room. Purchase cardboard cutouts of monkeys and plastic monkeys. Tape the cardboard monkeys to the walls and hang the plastic monkeys from the leaves on the trees.
Front Walk
Draw pictures of jungle fruits such as coconuts, pineapples and bananas in sidewalk chalk along the path to the party location. Or you can cut out the fruit shapes from card stock and tape them to the path or place them on the floor inside inside the house.
