A holiday projector is a great mood-setter for any holiday season. The projectors boast excellent weatherproofing encasements and the internal projection lights are resistant to the most extreme of weather conditions. The main duties of the owner are to set the projector up in a way that the projected image is displayed evenly on the wall and to ensure electricity is delivered to the projector with safety in mind. Instructions
1. Run your outdoor-rated extension cords to the location where you will be setting up your holiday projector and, if your projector came with a computer data cable, run the cable from the USB or serial port jack on the computer to the the location in which you will be setting up the projector. Put a rubber band onto every connector end of the extension cord and wrap Saran wrap around each connector to prevent moisture from getting into the connectors. Slide the rubber bands over the edges of the wrap for an airtight seal. Moisture will now be prevented from causing short-circuits and fewer trips to the circuit breaker.
2. Set up your projector using the included stand or tripod that came with the unit. Place the projector on an even surface and plug in your data cable into the projector's USB or serial port. Wait until dusk and turn the unit on, aiming it at your desired display wall or screen.
3. Level your projector if the ground is uneven by placing 1/4-inch thick wood squares under the legs, one at a time, watching the display for an even appearance. Use more or less wood squares as necessary to get your "perfect picture."
