Nintendo DS, a handheld portable gaming system, allows you to play games virtually anywhere. Nintendo DS is composed of two touch screens that the player manipulates with a stylus. A microphone comes installed on every unit, allowing voice communication between you and other players. Built-in Wi-Fi receivers also allow you to play select games with other DS owners across the country. This is accomplished by either trading "friend" codes or by "auto-matching" against other Nintendo DS owners. Every game is different in the process of "auto-matching"; refer to each individual game's manual for instructions.
Instructions
1. Connect online with a game to receive a 12 digit friend code for that game. Refer to your game's manual for instructions on where to find the friend code in-game, as every game is different.
2. Exchange codes with any friends with whom you wish to play that particular game.
3. Enter your friend's code into your Nintendo DS game. Once your friend has entered your code into his Nintendo DS, you will be able to play against him in that game. Refer to your game manual for instructions on where to enter this code and launch a multi-player session for that game.
