Play Pool Against Other Online Players

1. Go to Candy Stand's "Straight Pool" site. Select whether you want to create a private game, join a private game, enter any open game or play a computer opponent. Enter your initials and check "Yes" to begin the game. Use your mouse to line up your stick. Drag backward and release to hit the cue ball into the direction you wish. Use the menu at the bottom right of the screen to start a new game, quit, get new players or view the rules.


2. Download and install the "Pool Sharks" program from its website. Click on the program to start and create a new account. Enter the user name and password of your choosing and click "Register." Select a game in the "Open Tables" menu in the program, depending on your preference between 8-ball, 9-ball and 15-ball games. Hold the "Control" key and move the mouse forward and back to shoot. Move your mouse to change your perspective on the shot. Right-click to zoom in and out with the mouse. Use the left-click to adjust your point on the ball. Use the "Shift" button with the mouse to change your angle on the ball.


3. Create a new Yahoo account for "Yahoo Pool" if you do not already own an account. Select a room from one of the follow categories on the "Yahoo Pool" page: "Social," "Beginner," "Intermediate," "Advanced," "Latter" and "League." Select a table from the room you entered or create a new one using the left menu. Use the mouse to line up your stick with the left-click. Right-click and drag the cursor back to ready your shot and release to hit the cue ball. Watch the meter to see what kind of pressure you are putting on each shot.
