Play The Spongebob Song On The Ukulele

The ukulele is a fun instrument to play, and since it is less common than other instruments such as the guitar, ukulele players can sometimes have a hard time finding chords for songs they wish to play. The animated television program "SpongeBob SquarePants" frequently uses ukulele in its musical score. One of the most commonly searched and played SpongeBob songs on the Internet is "The F.U.N. Song."

Instructions

1. Hold the instrument with the neck in your left hand and the body in your right.

2. Form a D chord. Using your left-hand index, middle and ring fingers, hold down the topmost three strings on the second fret, or the second space on the fingerboard from the headstock.

3. Form a G chord. Place and hold your index finger on the second string on the second fret. Place and hold your middle finger on the fourth string on the second fret. Place and hold your ring finger on the third string on the third fret.

4. Form an A7 chord. Place and hold your index finger on the second string on the first fret.

5. Play the first verse of the song. Start with a D chord, and midway through the first line, switch to the G chord. Return to the D chord for the next line and switch to the A7. Return to the D for the third line and switch again to the G. For the final line of the verse, play the D chord, the A7 chord and the D chord again.

6. Repeat this same chord structure for the remaining verses of the song.
