As the Internet boom continues, there seems to be an internet-based alternative to nearly everything. Gone are the days of driving to the store and picking out fancy invitations for a birthday, anniversary or graduation party. Now party planners can send out the perfect custom-designed invitation from the comfort of their own home thanks to Evite.
Instructions
1. Launch your web browser and go to the Evite website (see Resources).
2. Click on the "My Account" link and fill out the registration form. Make sure that you enter a valid email address as this will be used as your login name. After entering all of the requested information click on the "Register" button.
3. Check your email for the verification message that Evite sends to prevent spamming. Click on the link in the email message to complete your registration.
4. Click on the "Invitations" link in the top menu bar to begin designing your invitation. Use the menu bar to the left to find a design that will work for the party or event that you are planning.
5. Click on the evite that you would like to use for your electronic invitations. You will be brought to a customization screen.
6. Enter your event title, theme, host information, party location, details and a custom message to your guests.
7. Use the buttons to change your design, upload new main image or view invitation options. After entering all of the requested information, click on "Preview" Invite. Click on the "Edit" button to change your invitation and invite guests.
8. Make any changes to the invitation and then click on the "Add Guests" button.
9. List all of your guest’s email addresses. For convenience, Evite allows addresses to be imported from AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, MSN Messenger and Outlook address books.
10. Enter the remaining information requested on this screen including a custom email message to your guests.
11. Preview your invitation one last time and then send it to your guests.
