You can print custom invitations using a computer.
Printing your own invitations on a computer can save money when planning a party or event, as professionally-made invites can sometimes be overpriced. Designing and printing out custom invitations is an easy process with the right tools, like a computer software program, printer and some sturdy paper. You can decorate computer-printed invites with clip art images and different fonts.
Instructions
1. Turn your computer on and pull up a computer software program designed for letter writing, like Microsoft Word. You can use a blank document or search the software program's options for a specialized program created for invitation making. Either way, open a new document and save it under a specified name, like Invitations, so you don't lose your work.
2. Type the text of your article onto the page, including event date, time and location. Also, include contact information for the event planner. Use the font and size tools at the top of the program's window to choose the styles you like best.
3. Add clip art images for extra punch. Visit a website like clipart.net and right-click on an image you like, clicking the copy tab. Then place your arrow on your invitation document and right click-again, hitting the paste tab. The image should now be on your invitation. Use images that match your theme, like a seashell for a beach party or a cowboy for a rodeo event.
4. Place a stack of card stock paper in your printer, then right-click on your invitation document and hit "Print." You will be prompted to fill in how many copies you would like and input the correct number of invitations you need. Let the ink dry on the invites before placing them in envelopes.
