Ideas For Turquoise Party Decorations

Small bowls of brightly colored daisies add flair to an informal gathering.

Decorate for an anniversary, wedding reception, birthday or quinceanera with the cool tones of turquoise, a color associated with serenity and tranquility. Use muted shades for more formal affairs and vivid bright tones for added punch at less formal events. Combine textures, floral and non-floral elements and touches of complementary or contrasting colors to create the perfect aesthetic for your event. Does this Spark an idea?

Tables

Use floral and non-floral elements in centerpieces to create elaborate or elegant settings. Tall black vases with turquoise feathers, surrounded by scattered "gems" or crystal sprays, add an Old Hollywood feel to the decor. For floral elements, use brightly colored Gerber daisies, hydrangea and lilies or asters complemented by tulips or roses in contrasting hues. Use a shimmery turquoise or teal material for tablecloths and accent with black napkins or runners.

Balloons and Banners

Clusters of balloons in graduated shades of turquoise and teal, coupled with black and metallic silver balloons, can add height to the decor by drawing the eye upward. Secure the balloons to sparkling centerpieces or weights, or allow the balloons to float overhead and let the ribbons trail among guests.

Banners, drapes and swags of tulle or satin can make the space more intimate while creating an ethereal touch with tulle and organza. Create a sleek and sophisticated look with satin.

Lighting

Paper lanterns, strands of twinkle lights and hurricane lamps or candles provide elegant lighting and continue the color palette, creating a cohesive look. Buy paper lanterns in a variety of sizes and use plain or patterned lanterns. Strands of twinkle lights in clear, blue or teal add subtle sparkle as background lighting while lamps or candles bring light to tables.
