Some people never get to know--or sometimes even meet --their neighbors. To ensure that never happens, have a neighborhood party. You can have a simple get-to-know-you gathering, a special reason or even a meeting with a party atmosphere. Plan the party yourself or get the help of several neighbors to get the party started. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Plan a good time for the party. Is there a need for a meeting? Do you want to celebrate a holiday or event? Maybe it's just been too long since the neighborhood has gathered.
2. Find a place. Take a neighbor's house or even a common area in the neighborhood, depending on the size of the neighborhood and of the place. If needed, you can book it in a restaurant or other location.
3. Send out the invitations. Choose to send out traditional invitations--store-bought or made at home--or send out e-invitations through e-mail. If you are creating the invitations at home, you might want to enlist the help of another neighbor or several neighbors to write or mail the invitations. Make it clear whether children or outside guests are invited.
4. Gather items needed for the party. Depending on the setting and reason for the party, you may need to gather food and drinks, party favors, decorations and other items. If you are able to, use money from the homeowners association or other group funds for the party. If not, suggest everyone bring a dish/item to help support the party.
