Everyone has wished at one time or another for their time on the red carpet or for their moment of fame. Hosting a fashion show theme party can make that dream a reality by providing your guests with a chance to walk on the "red carpet" and treating them to a fancy dinner. The best part is that it takes little time and effort to have such a wonderful, glamorous party. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Design invitations that are in the shape of a dress or a stylish T-shirt. You can even use real fabric to create a more realistic feel to the invitation. Tell your guests to dress as fashionably as possible, as they are going to be participating in a fashion show. Evening gowns and suits (or tuxedos) are acceptable, as well as jewelry, heels and stunning hairdos.
2. Decorate your home with lots of shiny, metallic colors like gold and silver. You can place fancy-looking vases with big, colorful flowers and perhaps even create posters that you can hang around the house advertising your fashion show. Don't forget to lay out the "red carpet" where your fashion show will take place.
3. Present a fashion show and tell your guests that they are will to be a part of it. Tell them to walk the "red carpet" and stop for a pose while pictures are taken of them.
4. Provide activities for your guests like decorating T-shirts with colored fabric glue, rhinestones, ribbon or whatever they wish. You can also have them create posters of themselves with the photos that were taken by using crayons, markers, glue, rhinestones, glitter and cool borders (if you have a digital printer).
5. Give your guests party favors like small silver bracelets, cute hats, sunglasses and cosmetics, or cologne or watches for the guys at the party.
6. Provide food like salad, steak or filet mignon for your guests to give them a fancy experience.
7. Play piano instrumentals when dining, chatting or giving away gifts, then switch it up to techno, rave or pop music when you're presenting the fashion show.
