Finding a unique family related favor for your next family reunion can be easier than you thought. Start by putting together a family tree, and use the information to make a unique favor the guests will be happy to take home. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Make Family Memory Books

1. Collect past and present family photos. Write letters, email and call family members asking them to send you their favorite family photos. Use a computer to scan all photos and organize them into a booklet form.

2. Split photos up according to decades. Include photos of your ancestors with captions to identify all family members. Include vital statistics such as date and place of birth and death.

3. Use family tree software or a simple family tree chart you can find online to create your family tree to include in the family reunion favor booklet.

4. Find a printing service to make copies of the family reunion favor booklet. Most services will also bind the booklet together. Order extra copies for family members that can't attend the reunion and for those who want to buy extras for future generations.

5. Include a CD pocket in the family reunion favor book for an electronic copy of all pictures. You could also include a slide show of the photos on the CD.

6. Hand out booklets as favors at the family reunion. Collect payment to cover the cost of making them if you haven't already done so.

Make Family Tree T-Shirts

7. Put a family tree together using family tree software or do it the old fashioned way and draw it out.

8. Buy white t-shirts in youth through adult sizes. Scan the image of the family tree onto the computer.

9. Get t-shirt transfer iron-on paper to print your own iron-ons from the computer. Print enough family tree iron-ons for all those attending the reunion.

10. Iron the transfers on each t-shirt and pass them out at the reunion.

Make Family Reunion Tree Favors

11. Order saplings from a greenhouse. Pick a type of tree that is hardy and will be easy for family members to plant.

12. Put a family tree chart together and make copies on heavy card stock paper. Include the date and location of the reunion on the card.

13. Attach a family tree tag to each sapling pot with decorative ribbon.

14. Hand the trees out at the family reunion, one for each family to plant in their own yard.
