Word The Invitations For A Fifthyear Wedding Anniversary Party In The Spring

Daisies are the symbolic flower of a fifth wedding anniversary.

If you and your spouse are planning a fifth-year wedding anniversary celebration, be proud of your accomplishment. Up to 10 percent of marriages end in divorce before the five-year mark, the Divorce Reform reports. Spring is the perfect time to celebrate your union as it symbolizes a rebirth after the winter season. When you word your anniversary party invitations, incorporate components that represent your devotion to one another and elements of spring. Choose to make it casual or formal. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Create an invitation based on daisies, the official flower of a fifth wedding anniversary. On the cover of the invitation, write the lyrics to the love song "Daisy Daisy." The last line of the song is "Of a bicycle made for two." You can paste pictures of you and your spouse on a bicycle built for two and place the image under the song lyrics. Further decorate the cover with daisies to represent the spring season.

2. Incorporate the traditional theme of wood for a fifth wedding anniversary and use the concept of tree growth to celebrate the spring season. Word your invitation comparing your love to the strength of a tree. For example, "Five years ago our love was rooted in the ground and has blossomed into a beautiful and vibrant willow, embracing life and each other." Dick Innes composed the poem "Love," which uses a tree as a romantic metaphor. Incorporate drawings of trees with new, green foliage to emulate spring growth.

3. Use a famous anniversary love quote for the cover of your invitation. The Wedding Anniversary and The Perfect Wedding websites offer several examples. A verse by Mignon McLaughlin reads, "A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person." This particular quotation sticks with the theme of rebirth, renewal and blossoming of love associated with spring.

4. Incorporate highlights of your first five years on the cover of the invitation. Sticking with the spring theme, you can even focus on events that happened every year from March to June. Mention trips, a tough hike you completed, the birth of your child, a new pet or even a challenging time you worked through together.

5. Include all essential information inside the invitation, once you decide on a cover. This includes your names and that you are celebrating your fifth anniversary, the time and date, RSVP information, the location and the dress code. For a formal invitation, write in the third person. For example, "In honor of their Fifth Wedding Invitation, (your full names) request the pleasure of your company to a vibrant spring dinner party." Maintaining the formal style, write out all numbers for the date; it is not necessary to do so for the address.

6. Send out your invitations six to eight weeks before the party's date.
