Ideas For An Intimate Wedding At Miami Beach

Miami Beach is known for its white sand and turquoise water, its Art Deco historic district and its high-rise luxury hotels. The city is also home to an active food scene, which ranges from casual contemporary cuisine to upscale gourmet fare. Miami Beach has a variety of venues suited to intimate weddings, including award-winning restaurants, beach-side hotels, gardens, yachts and the beach itself.

Hotels

The Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach Hotel offers several venues for intimate weddings, from indoor rooms with views of the Atlantic to outdoor gardens with water views and lush vegetation. The hotel, located on Millionaire's Row, was built in 1956 and completely renovated in 1999. The Alexander Hotel also offers poolside gardens and terraces overlooking the ocean that make excellent venues for small weddings. Both hotels offer the services of wedding coordinators, who will help plan food, flowers, table settings and other wedding details.

Restaurants

Wish, located in The Hotel of South Beach, caters to intimate weddings with contemporary American cuisine that has helped earn the property four Mobil Stars and a AAA Four Diamond rating. Wish will cater your wedding in any of the hotel's event venues, including the rooftop pool deck. Escopazzo Organic Italian Restaurant has an event space modeled after a Tuscan courtyard that includes a stone fountain. Escopazzo provides full-service catering for on-site weddings, as well as flower arrangements, equipment rentals and entertainment.

The Beach

If you'd like a wedding directly on the beach, local agencies will help you arrange one. Intimate Miami Beach Weddings has a package for between 40 and 50 guests that includes an officiant, the marriage license, flowers, photography and the services of a wedding coordinator. Forever in Love offers a beach wedding package that includes a sand ceremony with officiant, photography, a rose-covered arch, tiki torches and a cake to serve 24.

Other Venues

Miami Beach Botanical Garden, a 4.5-acre green space home to orchids, tropical plants and trees, can be reserved for weddings. The site has several venues appropriate for small weddings, including the Fountain Courtyard and the Japanese Garden. Dozens of yachts in the Miami Beach area can be rented to host a wedding. The Holiday of Magic can accommodate up to 35 guests total and 25 guests for a seated dinner. The yacht is rented in four-hour increments. Buffet and other menus are available.
