Wedding shower invitations can range from formal to casual.
Help your bride get ready for married life with a wedding shower. Close friends and family will gather to provide the bride with the items she needs to set up her new household. Add wording to the invitation to get guests excited about the event.
Instructions
1. Design the invitation according to the formality of the shower and wedding ceremony. Use the same colors and theme that the bride has picked for her wedding.
2. For a formal wedding shower, use traditional invitation wording. For example, begin the invitation this way: "Host's Name/requests the pleasure of your company/at a wedding shower/for Bride's Name."
3. For a more casual affair, take a lighter tone by beginning with "Please join Host's Name in celebrating the upcoming wedding of Bride's Name with a bridal shower." Add some personality. For example: "Let's shower the bride with love, and maybe a few presents too."; "Can you keep a secret? We are throwing a surprise shower for..."; "Bring a recipe, bring a gift, and bring yourself."
4. Follow the introduction with information including the time, date and location of the shower. Add details about RSVP, including phone numbers and email addresses. Include a map and parking options, if possible.
5. For a personal touch, include a blank card for guests to write a note or advice to the bride. Gather the cards at the shower and present them to the bride.
6. Mail the invitations so they reach guests at least three weeks before the event.
