Ice Cream Ball Directions

Make an ice cream dessert such as this one with ice cream balls.

Forming ice cream into balls is a snap. You may need to get your hands a little dirty and cold, but this is the key to forming perfect balls. With enough practice and a thorough scoop, you can form balls with only a few swipes of a scooper. Ice cream balls can be made into a special dessert or a sundae. These desserts can be coated with sweet candy and sauces. Add this to my Recipe Box.

Instructions

1. Put a piece of parchment paper over the entire surface of a cookie sheet.

2. Let your ice cream warm to a temperature where you can scoop it easily; it shouldn`t be melting, however.

3. Scrape the surface of the ice cream with an ice cream scoop. Allow it to fold over itself into a ball.

4. Release the ice cream from the scoop. Re-form the ice cream into a ball with your hands if you have to.

5. Put the ball onto your parchment paper. Create about six balls. Put the cookie sheet into your freezer.

6. Put the balls into a large dessert dish. Serve with various ice cream toppings or on their own.
