Word Bridal Shower Invitations

There is nothing more exciting celebrating a wedding. What better way to begin the celebration than with a bridal shower? After the party is planned, comes the task of deciding who you want to invite and what you want to say in the invitation. Many times the standard invitation at a retail store, just doesn't have that personal touch, that you want everyone one of your guests to feel. So the next best thing is to make your own. Read on to learn word bridal shower invitations.

Instructions

1. Brainstorming is the first key to successfully putting your thoughts to the pen and having your invitation say exactly what you want it to say. What better way to brainstorm than to gather a few friends and family members over for lunch, to get those creative juices flowing.

2. Include information in bridal shower invitation, such as theme or topic. Mention if you would like your guest to dress according to the theme. Make the invitation's reflect that theme in color. It will help remind the guests to address appropriately.

3. Make your words leap from the page and take notice. The standard, "You are cordially invited to celebrate with us" is a little boring and can cause others to miss import elements of the invite. Try something different like, "We are excited to announce" or like this sample shown. Add, "Let's help the bride-to-be (name) have some fun before she get's hitched."

4. Make sure that you don't make it too wordy. Keep the invitation at approximately six to 10 sentences. Most folks who get invitations will glance at the highlights. If there is important information that you need your guests to know, it may get skipped over in all the wordiness.

5. Make sure that the name of the bride-to-be has presence. This is the person in whom you are celebrating. Print her name larger and/or have it embossed. Give the lettering italics and maybe a different color.

6. Place the most important information in a clear format. Place the date, time, and location together. Don't separate this information in separate areas of the sentences. Making sure the print is easy to read. If you want to use a cursive font, leave the date, time and location in print font. Some guests might have a hard time reading the lettering.

7. Make sure if you are including a map insert with your invitation. That not only is the address on the invitation but a contact number like a cell phone. Also include the name of a contact person. No matter how well you may plan something, it is inevitable that at least one person will get lost and/or will have a hard time reading and/or understanding the directions.

8. Establish a good printing company to service your invitations. Unless you know someone who has a really good printer with special features. It's a good idea to have a professional do it. It not only saves you time, but you will have a professional look and quality invitation to send to your guests.
