Slingo combines elements of bingo and slots to create an engaging online game.
Slingo is a computer game introduced in 1995 that combines elements from bingo and slots. Players start a new game that consists of a board full of numbers, similar in appearance to a bingo card with a reel of numbers similar to a slot machine beneath it. Players have 20 spins to match as many numbers as possible on their playing cards. Each completed row earns players a "slingo" and the points that come with it. A full card earns even more points. Today, with over 3.3 billion games played and 1 in 20 Americans having played the game, Slingo is considered one of America's most played online games.
Instructions
1. Sign up for a free account at the Slingo website by providing a valid email address and creating a username and password. (See Resource 1) Click on "Slingo Classic Games" from the left hand menu and then "Slingo Classic (multiplayer)." Press "Play" and try to cover all of the numbers on your game card in 20 spins or less.
2. Understand that you and the other people you are playing against all start with the same card filled with the same 25 numbers. Use your mouse to click on the "Take Spin" button when it flashes red. Use your mouse to click the matching numbers. Understand that "Jokers" and "Super Jokers" allow you to click on any number in a given row or any number anywhere (respectively).
3. Try to make as many "slingos" as possible by stringing together horizontal, vertical and diagonal rows of matched numbers. Try to match every spot on the game board before spin 17 so you don't have to pay points for spins. Attempt to score at least 38,000 points in a single game to win all of the points in the progressive jackpot.
