Make Birthday Party Invitations On The Computer

Document templates offer a basic layout that can be customized to suit the style of your birthday party.

Birthday party invitations are an essential component of the party planning process. Invitations not only deliver essential information regarding your event, but they also alert guests to the theme or style of the party. Guests typically experience the first wave of excitement for your birthday party with receipt of the party invitation. For this reason, it is important to create invitations reflective of the type of party you are planning. Create birthday invitations with your computer, which will allow you easy access to adding or changing graphics, text and the layout.

Instructions

1. Download a birthday party invitation template from your word processing software. This is generally done by clicking "File" then "New" in the main toolbar of your word processor. Alternatively, you can visit the website of your word processing software for available document templates to find your download.

2. Open your template in your word processor. Enter the event details, which include time, date, location, RSVP information and details on what to bring to the event. If space permits, add directions or a small map for guest convenience.

3. Alter the colors of objects in the birthday invitation so that they match the colors you will use in your decorations. Your invitations should maintain the same d cor style as your party. If your event has a theme, consider changing the images on your birthday invitation template to match the theme.

4. Save your birthday party invitation, and then print it onto cardstock or presentation paper using an inkjet printer.
