Make Free Invitations Online To Print

Designing invitations online allows you to be as creative as you want to be.

Whether you're mailing invitations or handing them out to friends and family directly, paper invites are a very thoughtful and creative way to make your event stand out. There are a plethora of websites that offer invitation and card design free of charge, so there's no excuse not to put in the effort. Most allow you to customize to the last detail, including inserting a photo, writing the message and choosing the design (or designing your own).

Instructions

1. Visit smilebox.com. Choose Design Types on the tab at the top of the page. Click on Ecards in the tab that pops out. Click the "Click to Get Started" button. This installs the program on your computer that allows you to run the card-making software. Run the software, read the License Agreement and, if you are OK with running this program, then choose to continue. The Design Catalog will open on your screen and prompt you to choose your occasion, such as birthday, holidays or seasonal. Choose your template from the many options and click "Personalize" in the bottom right corner. Proceed to pick your music from the database or upload your own, write your text, choose your background and add photos. Preview your card and continue to step four to "Share, Print, or DVD."

2. Go to familyshoppingbag.com/free_printable_greeting_cards.htm. This simple, easy-to-use website allows you to choose your invite from more than 100 different designs and occasions. Some have a message already printed and others don't. It's absolutely free. This website, however, doesn't give you the option of writing the text or customizing. Just print the card and write your message by hand.

3. Visit invitationland.com. Choose Free Invitations on the left to create invites without buying a membership. This page explains the card-making process and the fact that each category on the left has a particular number of free cards. Choose your occasion and select one of the "Free No Membership Needed" cards. Click on the invitation tab. Fill in the desired text boxes, using the hints provided like "Locaton Name" and "Location Address." Click on the Colors/Font tab and customize. Click the Create PDF tab at the top to complete your card design. Print the PDF.

4. Go to printbirthdayinvitations.org. This website requires a free software download. IT has more than 1,000 designs for various occasions. Once you download the software (Internet Explorer required), choose the template. Customize your text, font and colors with the software tools.
