By including a wine bar in the gala fundraiser event, you can raise even more funds
A gala is an especially extravagant social event, sometimes used to raise money for charities, schools, or other organizations. These events are very popular because they can raise a great deal of money in just one night. However, much work and time is involved in organizing a gala, especially a lucrative one. Nonetheless, with a little organization, a gala fundraiser event can be successfully planned. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Gather volunteers to help with the event. The more people that are willing to help with the event, the less stressful the event will be. Organize the volunteers into committees, such as a decorations committee, an entertainment committee, a youth committee, a gifts committee, a food committee, an advertising committee, and a ticket sales committee.
2. Search for sponsors of the event. Local businesses that are willing to sponsor the event can help to offset start-up costs. Remember to thank these sponsors and publish their names in any event programs or posters used.
3. Find an event location and select a date for the event. Depending on the budget, a local school gymnasium to a large ballroom can be used. Remember that if using a location such as a school, many decorations will have to be purchased in order to transform the room into a fancy affair.
4. Make a budget. Assign amounts that you wish to spend on entertainment, decorations, food, gifts, invitations, etc. Inform the appropriate committees of the amount in the budget related to their assigned tasks.
5. Think of safety. Arrange to have first-aid personnel and security during the event. Also consider buying liability insurance for the event.
6. Meet with the various committees regularly to make sure that everyone is organized, on task, and unified.
