You can save money by making pizza at home instead of ordering out.
Pizza is not just limited to hamburger, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese anymore. Gourmet pizzas are becoming more popular, especially ones that combine pizza with other favorite foods. Pizzas such as barbecue chicken, baked potato and chili cheese dog are being made in kitchens for dinner. Other pizzas are topped with nontraditional pizza toppings, such as cashews, artichokes and avocado, allowing you to use food you have in your pantry and not make an extra trip to the store. Instructions
1. Combine the chicken and the Cajun seasoning in the pan. Cook over medium heat to help the chicken retain some moisture. Stir it occasionally. Cook until the chicken is done, and remove from the heat.
2. In the medium mixing bowl, mix the baking mix and the water, using your hands because the dough will be thick.
3. Spray the 13-by-9 pan with cooking spray and press the dough into the pan, going a half-inch up the sides to form the pizza edges.
4. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
5. Mix the tomato sauce and the seasonings in the small mixing bowl.
6. Spread one cup of the cheese over the uncooked dough.
7. Spread the tomato sauce mixture over the cheese.
8. Sprinkle the chicken and the olives over the tomato sauce.
9. Spread the remaining cheese over the top of the chicken and olives.
10. Place in the oven and bake for 18 minutes.
11. Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle it with diced avocado.
12. Return the pizza to the oven for another two minutes or until the cheese is bubbly. Remove from the oven and enjoy.
