Make Hawaiian themed invitation cards for a luau party.
If you are having a Hawaiian luau theme party, you will need some Hawaiian-themed invitation cards. You can also make a card with Hawaiian decorations to send to a friend who is having a summer birthday. You don't need any special materials to construct the card and some of the things you need to use are often free on the internet. You can make many of these simple cards by hand.
Instructions
1. Open a simple graphic editor or a word processing program and open a blank 8 1/2 - by -10 inch document.
2. Go to a website that offers free Hawaiian themed clip art. Right click on each picture you want to include on the front of the Hawaiian-themed card and select "Copy Image".
3. Paste the clip art onto the blank document. Position them by clicking on them and dragging them while they are selected. Leave about half an inch of space between the graphics so you can easily cut them out. Paste many different graphics on the blank document to make a Hawaiian scene collage or make many copies of one graphic, such a hibiscus flower for a hibiscus bouquet.
4. Save the document and print it out. If you are making many invitations, print out one page of the graphics for each invitation.
5. Fold a piece of white or colored card stock in half width-wise. Cut each graphic out and arrange it on the front of the card where you want it. Glue the graphics in place with a glue stick and wait about one hour for the glue to dry. Write whatever you want to say on the inside of the card.
