Smith In Runescape

Smithing is the fine art of turning bars of metal ore into various other objects, including armor, weapons and runes. In Runescape, you must first mine or buy the ore you need and smelt it, or turn it into bars from raw ore. Learning to smith can make your player a valuable commodity to other players, who may pay you for your ability to make objects for them.

Instructions

Learn to Mine, Smelt and Smith Metals in Runescape

1. Visit the smelting tutor, Feoras, for valuable tips on smelting ore. You can find Feoras by traveling northeast of Lumbridge Castle.

2. Head southwest to Varrock to meet the smithing tutor, Sani, for a rundown on the basics of smithing.

3. Mine some ore using your pickaxe.

4. Head over to a furnace, marked on the map as a black furnace with a red interior.

5. Left-click on your ore.

6. Left-click on the furnace to "use" it with your ore. If the bars you are creating need more than one type of ore, the other type will automatically be "used" at the same time.

7. Find an anvil, which is located in several places in the Runescape world.

8. Left-click on the metal bars in your inventory.

9. Left-click on the anvil. You will see a pop-up menu of objects you can smith.

10. Select the item you want to smith and left-click on it. As long as your skill level is high enough to make the item and you have the necessary components (including a hammer), your player will attempt to make the item automatically.

11. Choose how many of a specific object to make by right-clicking on the desired item in the menu.
