Throw A Flyer Party

Get to know your neighbors by having a flyer party. A flyer party is perfect for a spontaneous or a planned shindig. Choose a theme for your party, gather your supplies and create your flyer. For a large party use black and white flyers printing or spend a little more for some vibrant color flyers. Design and print the flyers yourself on your home computer. A host or host short on time should take advantage of the design and print services at the local office supply store. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Preparations

1. Choose a location for your party. Your location should be large enough to accommodate a crowd and be easy to find.

2. Select a date and time for your party. Decide how long you would like the party to last. This information will need to be posted on the flyer so you do not have a never-ending party.

3. Enlist the help of neighbors or friends to assist with the decorating and cooking.

4. Plan a theme or fun name for your party. Plan what food and drinks you will serve.

5. Choose a disc jockey to play music or create CD play lists to play in the background.

6. Make or buy the decorations for your party.

Prepare Flyers

7. Create a flyer with a word processing or graphics program. Use easy-to-read fonts and include all the important information.

8. Place the theme name at the top of the flyer.

9. Place an image that best represents your party on the left underneath the headline. On the right of the graphic place a text box with the date and time in it.

10. Place a contact name and phone number on the bottom of the flyer.

11. Print the flyers or take them to have them professionally printed. Distribute your flyers by placing them on the doors of apartments and homes in your neighborhood. Or hand out the flyers to specific friends. Post your flyers on bulletin boards for a larger crowd.

At the Party

12. Welcome guests as they arrive at your party. Offer name tags and a pen to guests.

13. Point guests to the restroom facilities and party areas.

14. Observe guests during the night if serving drinks. Offer to call a cab for guests who become inebriated.
