Slow cookers help you make home-cooked meals that are table ready for with little fuss. Place your meal in the pot and your appliance will do the work for you. Slow cookers, like the Rival brand come with a number of features, like temperature control, time settings and removable dishware. Rival's brand of slow cookers operates essentially the same as its competitors. Prepare for a party or make your favorite comfort food using your slow cooker. Instructions
1. Remove the removable dishware from your Rival crock pot and wash it with liquid dish detergent.
2. Dry the dishware completely and return it to the Rival crock pot.
3. Review the recipe book that came with your Rival product or use another slow cooker recipe.
4. Assemble your recipe ingredients and prepare the items according to the directions in your Rival recipe book.
5. Place the ingredients in the pot, stacking them according to the recipe. Place the lid on the pot.
6. Cook the meal on low by selecting the "Low" setting. Cook for 10 to 12 hours. Then, select the timer setting and enter the time. Some slow cookers will do this automatically once the "Low" or "High" setting is selected. If you want your meal cooked quicker, select the "High" setting and place the timer on 4 to 6 hours. You will find the setting gauge on the front of your Rival cooker.
7. Transfer your meal to a bowl to serve or remove the dishware and serve directly from the dish. Unplug your Rival slow cooker.
8. Empty the leftovers from the bowl and allow the dishware to cool completely.
9. Place the dishware in a sink and wash it with liquid dish detergent. You may need to let your dishware soak for 15 minutes before you attempt to wash the pot. Use a soft cloth to wash away the food. Wash the lid, too.
10. Polish the dishware with a dry cloth and return it to the slow cooker. Dry the lid and place it on the Rival slow cooker.
