Ideas For Favors To Make For A Motherdaughter Banquet

Give mothers and daughters favors they can use together.

Many events today are thrown for mothers and daughters, such as fashion shows, teas, school parties or showers. Favors serve as reminders of the event so mothers and daughters will remember their time spent together and can be either simple or elaborate. Does this Spark an idea?

Edible Favors

Edible favors give mothers and daughters the chance to spend time together in the kitchen when they get home. Give each pair two tea cups filled with tea bags and cookies so they can enjoy a quiet cup of tea together. If the daughters are young children, consider a favor that allows them to learn new cooking skills. Give each pair a jar filled with the dry ingredients to make a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Attach a card to each jar with directions to turn these ingredients into a baked treat. Mothers will get to pass on their baking skills to their daughters and make memories together in the kitchen.

Wearable Favors

Few mothers and daughters are interested in dressing the same way, but they can both appreciate the same accessories. Make a necklace or bracelet for each by stringing beads onto elastic, or create an apron or tote bag for each person. You could buy plain cotton aprons or bags and stamp them with fabric paints. Even when mother and daughter are not together, wearing these items will help them feel close to one another.

Pampering Favors

Nearly any female from a kindergartner to a senior citizen can use and enjoy gifts that allow her to pamper herself. Small gift baskets filled with bubble bath, lip gloss and bottles of nail polish are appropriate for females of all ages. Tuck small items into baskets or plastic bags. Mother and daughter can snatch time together perhaps by giving each other a manicure.

Memory Favors

Favors should help mothers and daughters continue their bonding experience after the banquet ends. Encourage them to bond by giving them favors that help them make and record memories. Decorate the cover of journals with ribbon and stickers and write a note for each pair, asking that they take turns writing notes to one another inside. You might also help each pair start a scrapbook by wrapping several sheets of scrapbook paper along with girly stickers and a colored marker. These favors give mother and daughter the chance to record their special moments together.
